Lesson: If you are left a trust fund or inheritance, make sure to read the fine print to know what people will watch.

Main Thought: I read it in one weekend because I could not put it down.  While it was obvious who the mystery woman was if you read enough thriller books, the additional amount of twists and turns was not expected and kept you wanting to read more.  I really did not like one of the main characters and was hoping that he would get what was coming to him.

Dominic is the state governor and is up for re-election.  As it gets closer to the election he starts growing more distant from his wife, Jolene.  Dominic is getting threatening notes about a mistake from his past with an ex-girlfriend, Brynn. He thought that everything was handled back then, but now he is learning that you cannot trust people to handle things that you should do yourself.  Jolene is also learning that Dominic is lying and is not he not the man that she thought that he was.  Can Dominic keep his past hidden?  Will Jolene be able to find out what Dominic is hiding before she loses everything?

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Lesson: Continue to trust random strangers that come into your life.
Main Thought: It was really good and kept my interest. I enjoyed the back and forth in time between the chapters. There were a lot of twists that I was not expecting and some twists that I went back and forth questioning whether or not it would happen.

Fiona and Violet were known as the girl survivors. When they were children, a private plane crashed and they lost their parents. After months of living in the wild, they were found by hikers and rescued. However, Fiona and Violent have always told everyone the same story and never spoke about the Alone Time. Fiona and Violent lost touch with each other until a woman came forward with new information about their father. Now that the media is involved and a documentary is being created, what will be discovered about the accident?

Lesson: If you get yourself arrested and need help, make sure the warden is a family friend and that you have the help of an investigative journalist and a crime syndication leader.
Main Thought: The beginning was slow until he escaped, then I couldn’t put it down. It was extremely unrealistic which kind of took away from it slightly.

Lesson: Trust a stranger that knows your identity and tracks you down.
Main Thought: Why doesn’t she tell the police what she knows? The suspense was good, but the main character was semi-frustrating. However, if she didn’t have her past, then there would be no story.

Marissa/Claire grew up underground with her sisters and mothers until they escaped when she was 7. She changed her name and left that life behind. Claire became a crime photographer for the Portland Post. A new ring of murders started and the murder was leaving clues for Claire from her childhood. Claire tries to keep her identity hidden and tries to figure out who is behind the murders. As new people enter Claire’s life, who can she trust? What happens when they find out who she really is? Can she solve the murders before there are more victims?
